The Its Network
Data And Network Directory
This page is for people and software that want the Its network as data. The hub holds a directory only. Each guide publishes and checks its own datasets, so the figures live on the guide that verified them.
The Network Directory
/network.json lists every guide with its coverage, canonical URL, llms.txt, sitemap, editorial standards page, corrections page and, where the guide has one, its data catalog. It is rebuilt from the live guide list on every request, so it matches the home page. Free to read and quote; cite the guide for any figure and this site for the network itself.
Fields In Each Guide Entry
- name, type, coverage: the guide’s name, whether it is a state or regional guide, and the area it covers.
- canonical_url, llms_txt_url, sitemap_url: where to start reading the guide and where its own index lives.
- editorial_standards_url, corrections_url: how that guide checks facts and fixes mistakes.
- data_catalog_url: present only when the guide publishes open datasets.

How Often It Changes
The directory changes when a guide joins or moves. The datasets change on each guide’s own schedule, and every dataset page says when it was last checked.
