The Its Network
Editorial Standards
These standards apply to this hub and are the standard every guide in the network is held to. Each guide may add detail on its own editorial page.
Official Sources Only
A date, time, price, address or rule is published only after it has been read at an official source: the organizer, the venue, the place’s own website, or the government body in charge. Social media posts, third-party calendars and ticket resellers can point us to something to check. They are not enough to publish a fact.
Unconfirmed Facts Are Labelled
If a fact could not be confirmed at an official source, the page says so, in plain words, next to the fact. We do not leave it out quietly and we do not present it as checked.
The same rule applies to our own reports: anything we have not confirmed is labelled that way there too.
Dated Checks
Guides record when a page was last checked. When an organizer changes a date, time, price or cancels, the page is updated and the change is logged.
Teasers And Links Only
This hub shows a short description of each guide and links to it. It never copies event pages, calendars or place pages from the guides. Anything we quote from a guide is linked back to that guide.
Photos And Credits
Photos are used under their licences. A credit is shown where the licence needs one. A photo must show what the page is about; where it cannot, the caption says it is an illustration.
How We Use AI
Research and first drafts use AI-assisted tools. Every fact is checked against its original source before it is published, and the editorial team is responsible for what goes live.
Independence
Listings are not for sale. Nobody can pay to be featured, ranked higher or described more kindly. See the disclosure page.
Mistakes
If something is wrong, tell us. The corrections page explains how.
